GROOMING
If your buddy is looking a little scruffy, get your pooch to Rochester’s amazing groomers. Fluff n Buff Dog Grooming and Clip & Dip Grooming and Boarding specialize in the intimate trust between a groomer and their groomee (they also offer doggy day care services along with grooming). You can also pop in to Rochester Pet & Country Store to get your dog a bath and a blow dry. For the varied herd of dogs, Vanity Fur takes dogs of all sizes (and even some cats if you’ve got those too).
PLAYTIME
To mix up your pup’s outdoor adventures, stop by one of the city’s dog parks. You can wind around Jean and Carl Canine Park’s great trails in southeast Rochester, or you can let your dog off the leash at River Road Dog Park for great adventures with new furry friends.

BOARDING AND DAYCARE
If your four-footed friend can’t be everywhere you are, you can drop them off at Leashes & Leads for their own vacation. There they’ll play on a 3-acre playground where they can explore a swimming pond, obstacle course and hiking paths. Another hound haven near downtown Rochester is Bear Creek Kennels LLC. Whether it’s just for the afternoon or boarding for the week, Bear Creek will make sure they have fun. Central Bark, on the other hand, opened in 2019 and has already built a good reputation around its enrichment day care, dog sleepovers (staff call it an “un-kennel” experience), and grooming services.
