Getting Around Rochester MN
Once you get into the city, there are a variety of transportation methods to get you where you need to go:
Pedestrian skyways and underground walkways. One Rochester’s biggest advantages is its extensive skyway and underground walkway system. Providing open and airy corridors both above and below street level, Mayo Clinic patients and visitors can easily be connected from Mayo Clinic to their hotel, restaurants, shopping, and everywhere in between.
Mayo Clinic Shuttle. Mayo Clinic provides a free shuttle service for patients and guests between the Gonda Building (downtown) and Saint Marys Campus.
Taxis or ride shares. Will pick you up and drop you off at your appointments or hotel.
Hotel shuttle services. Many hotels offer their guests complimentary shuttle service to and from Mayo Clinic.
Car rentals. Located at the Rochester International Airport, downtown, and other locations.
Specialty transportation. Several companies can accommodate patients and visitors with wheelchairs and mobility challenges.
