    Presenter: Kay Anderson

Kay Anderson spent the majority of her 34-year career at Mayo Clinic’s Cardiac surgery ICU in Rochester. She retired to northern Wisconsin and finished the book that spans 60 years and is framed inside a large Catholic farming family. The family’s stifling silence, dysfunction and alcoholism was fused with grief and loss early on. Kay’s heart for Catholic Social Teachings, justice, and presence for “being with” others amid loss, led to stories and journal entries from home to nursing. The greatest opportunity ensued with sacramental missionary work to Haiti.
