Down by the Riverside Concerts - Rochester, MN

Enjoy free outdoor concerts in July and August

Head down to Mayo Park, right behind Mayo Civic Center and the Rochester Art Center, for free concerts over six Sunday nights during the months of July and August. Bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy a summer evening along the Zumbro River, listening to a wide variety of genres of music at the Think Bank Down by the Riverside Free Summer Concert Series. It's the perfect opportunity for a date night, preceded by dinner at one of Rochester's exceptional downtown restaurants

Whether you're visiting Rochester (find downtown hotels near the concert site) or you're a resident, the Sunday night concert series is the place to be to finish off your summer weekend. Down by the Riverside invites you to come and "laugh, dance, sing, relax, play, eat, drink, socialize with friends and family, or meet new friends" at the Down by the Riverside concerts. The concerts feature local, national, and international artists.  Performers in recent years have included: Jefferson Starship, Cassadee Pope, Gin Blossoms, and Chase Bryant. 

Mayo Park, one of the most beautiful green spaces in the area, is an open-to-the-public city park. Lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome. On-site concessions are also available.

This summer will mark the 28th year the City's Music Department (Riverside Concerts) has produced the popular outdoor concert series. The 2019 series will run July 14 through August 18, Sunday nights at 7 p.m. in Mayo Park. The lineup for 2019 includes: 10,000 Maniacs (July 14); Mike Love (July 21); Lindsay Ell (July 28); Rare Earth (August 4); Cloud Cult (August 11); The Revolution (August 18).
