Restaurant Standards

The following standards are requested to be met and completed to achieve the Experience Accreditation.

LICENSURE, INSURANCE, INSPECTIONS AND MORE

Restaurant must be within Rochester city limits.
Menu items must be clearly stated including a detailed list of ingredients, common allergens, and preparation techniques must be available for guests.
Restaurant must show record of paying local sales tax.
Proof of Olmsted County Health Department Food & Beverage License.
If applicable, holds appropriate City of Rochester liquor license.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT

At least one staff member holds a State of MN Certified Food Manager Certificate.
At least two staff members hold a ServSafe Allergens ® Certification.
Front-of-the-house management and back-of-the-house management are recommended.
100% of **front line employees who work a minimum of 35 hours per week are required to be CTA's after one year of employment.
One lead staff member is required to attend two annual workshops offered by Mayo Clinic.
No less than two staff certified in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED.

   ** Front line employees are staff members that spend 50% or more of their time working with customers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

If a restaurant receives greater than 5% of the overall complaints submitted to the service remark portal, the restaurant will be subject to an additional secret shopping audit.
Must complete a monthly Experience Dedicated (ED) score card.
Respond to all service remark tickets within 48 hours.
Unannounced audits by secret shoppers will occur once a year with the intent to focus on the overall guest experience.
Restaurant must collect an average of 10 Experience Dedicated surveys per month to meet the annual requirement of 120 total completed surveys.
