Party for a cause at the Work Hard Play Hard After-Work Party Concert featuring special guests Bubba Sparxxx, J-Kwon, DJ Unk and Elliott Vreeland on October 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at Mayo Civic Center.
The Work Hard Play Hard (W.H.P.H.) After-Work Party Concert is an event to thank and reenergize those who work to serve family, friends, and neighbors both in and outside of the hospital. Additionally, to keep inspiring selflessness in our community, this event will hold a sock drive for the Rochester Salvation Army to help people experiencing homelessness.
The event features several performers, including Bubba Sparxxx, a rapper from Georgia with hits including “Ms. New Booty,” which landed at #1 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100. J-Kwon is an award-winning songwriter and Platinum recording artist with hits including his rap single “Tipsy.” DJ Unk is a #1 Official Billboard Artist best known for his single, “Walk It Out.”
Performing and introducing the musical guests will be Minneapolis comedian Elliott Vreeland. Vreeland has toured with Bill Bellamy, D.C. Young Fly, Chico Bean and Karlous Miller from the 85 South Show as well as Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘n Out, Gary Owen and Lavell Crawford. He has also hosted parties for rapper 50 Cent.
The W.H.P.H. party/concert series was founded by Robert “Bobby Bookings” Coates, a club/party D.J. and promoter of concerts. He decided to blend the two together. The thought was it would be “LIT” if a party had a concert or famous performers.
Guests will experience lasers, lights and a total party atmosphere with live music. It’s everything you love about music and partying, turned up a few notches to give you something to go home talking about.
