Each generation’s responsibility is to provide the next with, as Goethe put it, “Roots and Wings” — a sense of continuity and belonging as well as the freedom to explore new paths.  This fall, the choir presents a concert of choral classics!  First, the art form’s Roots - beginning with Byrd, Bach, Brahms, and Britten.  And then the Wings — works of fresh, diverse voices by modern masters Ësenvalds and Whitacre, exciting Afro-Cuban rhythms, and a South African freedom song.
