About Michael: Saxophonist and vocalist Michael J Thomas is a trailblazer in contemporary urban
jazz, known for his ability to blend smooth jazz with popular hits. After initially being
signed to a record label, he went independent and achieved his first #1 trifecta hit with
"Baby Coffee," topping the Billboard, Smooth Jazz Network, and Mediabase charts
in 2017/2018. His rendition of Lady Gaga’s "I’ll Never Love Again" became his
second #1 Billboard smash in 2019. His single "Sippin’ the Yak" hit #2, remained in
the Top 5 for nine weeks, and was #5 on Billboard’s Year-End Smooth Jazz Songs
chart for 2020. As a talented singer, his first Billboard top 20 hit was the vocal-featured
"I Think About Amy."
