Presenter: Reverend Emilie Smith

Join us for a time of sharing with the Reverend Emilie Teresa Smith. Smith will relate some stories from her four-month pilgrimage (mostly on land and river) to COP30, the United Nations meeting on the climate crisis, in Belem do Para, Brazil, in November 2025. She met with 42 communities in 10 countries between Vancouver Canada, and Brazil, and carried the question: Will this meeting bring real solutions to this crisis, or will it be an empty show?

Instead of writing yet another report, Emilie coordinated the co-creation of an epic poem. She will read part of that poem, Leaf on Drum River, in our presentation.
